About the Challenge

This hackathon challenges designers, creators, and storytellers to craft the next big movie toy merchandise concept. Participants will have to design imaginative, collectible, and market-ready toy idea to inspire a movie universe — bringing cinematic characters and stories to life through design.

Get Started

  1. Define a new movie world or cinematic theme. 
  2. Identify how your merchandise (toy) captures its spirit, emotion, and fan appeal.
  3. Design a toy concept that’s innovative, functional, and collectible.
  4. Visualize your creation with a 3D image and process diagram leading to execution.

What to Build

  • A toy merchandise concept inspired by a movie.
  • The design should reflect the movie’s storytelling, characters, or visual identity.
  • Think beyond typical toys — interactive models, modular figures, AR-enhanced toys, or sustainable collectibles are welcome!

Requirements

What to Submit

Your submission must include:

  1. 3D Render or Image of your toy concept (in realistic or stylized form).
  2. Design Process Diagram showing the journey from idea → concept sketch → 3D prototype → execution plan (Pricing breakdown, process, and materials required).
  3. Brief Description (max 500 words) explaining the inspiration, audience appeal, and how it supports the movie franchise’s brand.

  • Submission Deadline: 02/12/2025
  • Results Announcement: 09/12/2025

Project and Submission Requirements

  • Original design (no copyrighted material).
  • Toy concept must be movie-themed, realizable, and market-ready.
  • Submissions should clearly showcase creativity, feasibility, and storytelling alignment.
